Can I apply if I do not understand Japanese at all?

To acquire a study abroad visa, you need Japanese language skills (and documents to prove it) of 150 hours of Japanese language learning history and level N5 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.
You must also be able to read and write hiragana and katakana. currently we do not have classes for those studying Japanese for the first time.

I am considering enrollment. How should I prepare?

Please read the application guidelines, those who satisfy the conditions of admission and who wish to enroll should submit their application documents.
Next, we will guide those who passed the document review through the entrance examination procedures.

If I do not receive a study abroad visa and cannot enroll, will I be refunded?

Even if our school gives you admission permission, we can give a refund in accordance with our school regulations if you do not receive a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) or a visa for study abroad.

Are all Japanese classes done in Japanese?

Students of our school gather from all over the world and study together.
Therefore we teach all classes in Japanese, which is the common language among students.
Students will learn the four skills of “speaking, listening, reading, and writing” in a balanced fashion, aiming at acquiring natural Japanese.

I want to work part-time after enrollment, can I?

Those who enroll in our school with a study abroad visa can be employed while staying in Japan within the scope of Japanese law (no more than 28 hours within one week) after receiving permission from the Immigration Bureau.

What should I do if I get sick or injured?

We ensure all our students join the national health insurance program after coming to Japan. When you join, the co-pay for medical expenses will be 30%.
When going to the hospital with a sickness or injury, please show them your national health insurance card. However, medical expenses not covered by insurance will be your responsibility.

Do I have to live in the school dorm?

Most students will need to stay in the school dormitory. The dormitory is adjacent to the school, the expenses are cheap, and it is a safe and easy place to live.

How well will I be able to speak Japanese after studying at Okazaki Japanese Language School?

When you graduate from the 1 year 6 months course or the 2 years course you will have acquired enough Japanese language ability to enter Japanese universities and vocational schools. We will also work hard on studying for the Japanese Language Proficiency Tests N2 – N1.

After graduation from Okazaki Japanese Language School, can I go on to college in Japan?

Your homeroom teacher will guide you so that you can enroll in a desired Japanese university or vocational school. In addition, we will also teach how to write application documents and practice interview examinations.
